Modern optics incorporate WDM technology out of the box, 100G-LR4, 100G-CWDM4 and other variants are common to everyone. But what does that mean and how does CWDM and DWDM work, if not already in a box.
I'll give an overview about different WDM types, channels and hardware. I'll also bring some devices to show, but I currently do not think it will be a hand-on session on some switches (that could change, if there is a benefit, which I currently do not see).
Hi, I'm nicoduck and I'm responsible for the network operations at Pfalzkom, operating our Backbone, RF Links, data center network and SIP platform. We own two data centers in Mutterstadt and our network roughly reaches from Homburg to Heidelberg and from Landau to Frankfurt.
When not doing paid work, I like to help building temporary networks at scale, for events like CCC congress and multiple camps and am interested in mechanical locks.
